Description

I got this adult bald eagle taking off from its nest a while back.

Specific Feedback

I like the situation, and the way the morning sun was lighting the subject. I’m wondering if there’s enough contrast between the BG and the subject? Do the bird’s highlights pop it from the BG enough? Cropping?

I think the highlights make the eagle pop from the background very well, Dave and the crop works for me. The heavily shadowed face doesn’t suit my personal taste well, but could very well appeal to a lot of people.
