I got this image a while back of one of our local bald eagles taking off. I like the power of it.
Cropping? Background?
D500, Nikon 200-500 lens, hand held, 1/4000th, f 7.1, 750mm, ISO 1600, cropped to 2161 x 1594
For me, the composition with the crop and background works well. I like the wing position. The head seems a bit bright for the overall scene.
Hi Dave, I like the take off pose you captured amongst the pine. The context works well for me. Tweaking down the whites on the bird may help some. A fine image.
Great action shot of the eagle, Dave. I agree with toning down the white head. Cropping a bit of the top off seems to make a more balanced image, but that’s minor. Colors and detail look great.
