this is actually the first time I have posted this image. I never felt that good about it because of all the trees but with many of our members listing different kinds of Orioles, I didn’t want to be left out.

Very nice David. One thing I am seeing in the recent oriole posts is that the stark beauty of the bird can hold its own even with some busyness elsewhere in the image. My eye first goes to the beautiful orange and great details which makes the bird come alive for me. The busyness may not be perfectly ideal but is far from a deal breaker for me. A very minor nit to my eye maybe removing the white thin patch on the branch to the left of the bird’s feet. Richly colored bird well rendered.

Excellent, David. I got one down there the last time-in the rain, so it was looking a bit bedraggled. I like the treatment of both the oranges and the blacks-both are nice and rich.
Lovely capture! And if they’re anything like their cousins who summer up here, they really ARE that color!! I don’t remember your software but these days it wouldn’t be difficult to prune the very dark limb at the top.

This is a great example of controlling deep blacks and highly saturated oranges. By the way, the framing is spot on.
