Composition is wonderful. I like that the foreground branches call our attention to the cactus. Just the right amount of color.

I like this a lot. For me, a photograph works when it makes you look and then look again. Placing the saguaro in an unexpected place, on the left side of the frame, was inspired.

The expression “behind the chaos” came to my mind.
The colors contribute quite good to the intension, well seen…

Hi Don,
This is obviously very busy, but I think it is very well organized due to those two branches coming in from the right side and directing the viewer toward the left where we are greeted with the saguaro trying to blend in all of the chaos. I also very much like the subdued green tones in this image. No suggestions from me as this is very nicely done.

Super image Don. Curious to see how it might play out in B/W. I’m going to steal this idea next time I’m in Joshua Tree, where there are plenty of Paloverdes and cacti.
