Barking Up the Right Tree

Critique Style Requested: Standard

The photographer is looking for generalized feedback about the aesthetic and technical qualities of their image.

Description

These two Korean cicadas were keeping a low profile in July 2011. I think they were on a cherry tree. Taken with my first DSLR camera.

Specific Feedback

I have no idea why the aperture was so open, but perhaps the oof parts add to the camouflage!

Technical Details

D90 + 50mm f1.8 1/100 f2.8 ISO 200 (can’t remember the processing in Elements).

Had to really look to find the first cicadas, Mike, let alone the second! Nicely seen.

Mike, the color matching (especially the touches of blue in the cicadas) is amazing. Yes, it took a bit to find #2.
