Description

Walking in the Park a few weeks ago. Saw this guy taking a bath or cooling himself off

Specific Feedback

Maybe over edit on this one. Going for the old school film look that I love. A little warming and burning and dodging. Tried to get the water to say more and used contrasting tools on feathers.

Gill,
I like the vignetting as it does give the photo and old school camera look and the high contrast like some of the old Kodak Tmax films. It just needs to be a little more grainy to seal the deal.

Wow. Thanks. I’m from the 35 mm film days. I had a dark room and experimented a lot. Used an iron to put images on hard thick poster board. I love the old masters.

Thanks. I sat and waited. Photographing Birds and Insects is hard. You have to be patient and ready for the right moment. I’ve learned a lot from the NPN members.

This works a film photograph. It’s nice to take a new approach to photographing a very common bird.
