About This Image

I visited the local state park pond this morning and found a kingfisher working it. I was hoping for a family of juveniles as in years past but no such luck today. I’ll try again tomorrow morning.

Excellent series. The light and detail are wonderful. You got some great wing positions and we’re very fortunate that these birds were cooperative.

Spectacular, all!! I could see #4 having the bird just a bit higher in the frame, but no idea if there is more canvas below. (If not, and it is within your ethics, adding a bit of canvas below could be done very nicely. Although the light was probably different, it might be interesting to cool down 3 and 4 a bit to match the others. Here are hopes for some juveniles for some icing on the cake!

The flight shots are excellent, Allen. The Landing shot has great wing position, but the almost straight on beak makes it a bit difficult to see what’s going on in the head area. Great series.
