Neat behavior! Funny how he managed to get only half of his face muddy..
Your usual fine detail in the skin. The left egret adds a lot, but the right one might go away, as it’s tough to tell it’s a bird.
Love your elephants!

Wow what an impressive animal! Love seeing the straight on view of the head with the ears extended. I get the sense of the power of these individuals. Great light.
There seems to be an out of focus bird on the lower right flying by. I think it could go.
Great photography, wonderful sighting, very well executed.

Great close-up look and with that direct stare. I like the environmental aspect as well and the framing by the two egrets.

I bet his momma told him not to play in the mud puddles when he was just a calf . Magnificent animal and I envy you the experience. Well done. >=))>

Jagdeep, this view tells a great story, with the big bull nicely splattered with mud, the Egrets, the tall green grasses, the spooked small birds and the reeds. It’s neat how well he blends with the distant background.

Typical Amboseli scene (correct me if I’m wrong :slightly_smiling_face:). Perfect pose of the elephant with its mates in the golden morning light, making the contrasts perfectly not-too-hard  The splashed face tells the viewer this elephant is having a good time. Grt, Ingrid.
