Siskin Dangling is my favorite, Dennis. Beautifully minimalist. And it is my dream to get as close as you did to a Wood Duck when I visit NC next March! A great collection.
Hi Dennis,
These images are outstanding and make for a wonderful collection of favorites for the year. Your BG’s on the bird images are so clean and uncluttered and the lighting is perfect for bringing out the details in all ten images. My two favorites are Gull Bathing and Siskin Dangling as I just love the moment captured.
Dennis, this is a fine collection with lots of great memories attached. The Macaw pair with the white background remind me of an Audubon Print. The other bird shots are also excellent.
All gorgeous!! I absolutely love the dangling Siskin, and the Macaws are a close second. But I could wax on about each of them – a super collection! Can’t wait to see what you capture next year! (Or next week…)
Just when I think I can do bird photography, someone points out that there is always room for me to grow. Super series of feathered beauties. Different behaviors and species, great compositions and processing. That’s not to say the leaves and landscape aren’t gorgeous, but it’s clear where your heart lies. Looking forward to what you bring us in 2025.
Dennis: My first impression was this collection is for the birds . The oriole shot is masterful but the rest of the birds are pretty spectacular as well. Thanks for all you do at NPN and the encouragement you give us all. Merry Christmas and may 2025 bring you great subjects and even better light. >=))>
I echo the previous well earned comments. All images are exceptional. It appears the Siskin has earned the most favorite status, and I agree. The Oriole shot really appeals to me as does “Spring is Coming”.
