Lucky me, I ran into a ‘slew’ of Black Vultures on Edisto Island one morning! Not much to add other than they were more than happy to oblige my photography!

Sharpness on the head looks good and the exposure on the blacks looks fine to me. A good looking portrait of this “beauty”.

Well composed portrait of this vulture. Good detail and nice lighting on the bird. I think I would consider darkening the out of focus tree in the background as it has a tendency to draw my eye away from the bird.

Hi Jim. I like the portrait. I agree with David that the brighter part of the trunk is a bit of an eye magnet. I also think you could apply just a bit of blur on the background as the foliage in the upper right has a half out of focus texture that disturbs my eye.
