Lappet-faced Vulture

I’m finally getting around to processing the many images I took on safari in Tanzania in February. I liked the way this bird posed for me, though the lighting was already harsh at 10 am. I had my camera set at a high speed as I was photographing the action at a kill. Sony a9, Sony 100-400mm with Sony 1.4 teleconverter, 462mm, manual exposure, f/8 at 1/2500th, ISO 800.

Cool to see a vulture with wildflowers in the background Chuck, nice portrait with sweet details. I might darken the eye as the nictating membrane appears to be up.
