Bleached Blonde

Image Description

Another from Harris Beach. The color has almost been bleached/sand blasted away but I liked the subtle vestiges of it. Whenever I discover these big logs in driftwood piles I wonder about the journey that brought them there. Were they uprooted in a storm, escaped from a logger’s raft? How long have they been tortured by wind, sea and sand? >=))>

Hand held because I was just wandering the beach with little expectation of finding much and just took the camera along so that I had more than my phone to use. I ended up spending several hours exploring and almost filled up a card!

How cool!! It looks like the entryway to a dwelling going off to the left – some sort of micro-Hobbit house! Fascinating textures, shapes and subtle colors!
