I’ve been sitting on this image for almost a year. Thought the challenge was a good place for it. Whenever I’m beach combing in Oregon I’m always on the lookout for driftwood. Found this toothpick factory at Harris Beach and really liked how sun, sand and salt has worn away what was once a proud tree.>=))>

Played a little with the WB to bring out the color but didn’t want to overdo it. Natural enough?

Ah! Blues and browns. One of my favourite colour combinations. Colours are not overdone.
The old tree has certainly been knocked around and suits the WC. There is so much texture there from the little tooth picks to the circular strands around the knot.
Bill, the colors look right to me. I also like all of the tiny splinters that the weathering has produced and the change in texture from bottom to top.
