Description

I’m in Oregon trying to wear out the camera and doing a pretty good job of it. Spent the last day and a half at Shore Acres SP hoping for some high tides and big waves. The waves were not as monstrous as some I’ve witnessed here but still pretty good. Images of those coming. These formations are on the back side of one of the barrier sea stacks along the shore and I liked how the late afternoon sun lit up the scene. >=))>

Specific Feedback

I did have to pull up the shadows quite a bit to pull out some color there. Also it was hard to pick a crop, especially on the bottom as there were things below this level of the balls that were pretty icky.

Bill, I love the fine detail here . There are always such cool things to find on the beaches.
Great find and nice capture !

I’ve photographed these several times myself, and haven’t ever captured them well. I really like your take Bill, especially the way you caught the light when the base of the balls in the lower right were in shadow. That makes them pop out; a nice effect. Those arms reaching in from the upper right are an interesting contrast.

This is great as is, but I also like a crop that focuses more on the balls.

Bill, the string of balls looks good. The details that show in the large view are excellent and add a ton of interest. The “arms” coming in from the top are a good change-of-pace. Your handling of the darks looks fine.
