I like this one, Ulbe. Having the horizon in the middle of the frame is often not a good idea but here I think it’s fine. You got both movement and sharpness.

My only qualm concerns the object a little to the right of center. It’s not large enough to be identifiable but it’s large enough to be distracting. I’d consider deleting it.

I see no problems associated with the lens, but agree with Don that the pole (?) and rock (?) to the right of it do draw attention. I think a little off the top would also help. The 6 sec exposure works very well. If they are a pole and a rock is the pole there to warn of the presence of the rock?

This a really moody scene. Maybe raise the white point just a tad?

Thank you! The pole is the warning of a breakwater (with lots of rocks) .

Thanks a lot!

Thank you so much!

Thank you.

Hi Ulbe,
This is a wonderfully moody seascape. It has this peaceful serene vibe that I find very inviting and enjoyable. I love the blue tones and the diagonal placement of the water works perfectly for my tastes. I am also liking the 6 sec SS as it has created some lovely effects in the water. My only suggestion would be to clone out the already mentioned red pole in the water. If it was larger in the frame it would provide better context. Just my opinion of course.

I see no issues with your repaired lens, but this small file size might not be a good indicator. I would recommend zooming in to 100% on the raw file to check for any issues. This is a thoroughly enjoyable image.

Hi Ed,

Thank you for your comment and recommendations.

I really enjoy how cohesive your work is Ulbe. I’m especially attracted to what you do given the limitations of your geography and topography.

This one sings of emptiness, but with peace.

Thank you so much John! Sea, Sky and Surf are always changing. The tidal changes makes the beach look different every day.
