Description
This image was made the same day as my earlier shot from the creek (Here).
I liked the way the two large boulders constrained the flow of the water.

Specific Feedback
I decided to keep the amount of blue at a minimum and concentrated processing on the water and the three largest boulders. I cropped a bit from the right side, as well.
I am curious if you think the foam to the left of the cascade at the bottom is distracting? I thought about removing it, but left it in.

The three large boulders were selected and adjusted with a Levels layer as they were quite bland in the RAW file.

I love this, but I do find that detail you mention to be too eye-pulling. I want my attention to stay on the flow of the water, which is lovely! Other than that, no nits!
Hi Preston,
This is wonderful and I love the way the water flows through this rock filled scene. The textures and details in the water are amazing and your SS choice was perfect for my personal tastes. I find this to be very soothing and relaxing; I could see myself sitting there and just enjoying the sound of the water tumbling through the rocks. My eye does go to that foam so IMHO I would remove it. I also quite like the processing and textures on those three main boulders.
This is quite nice, Preston. As usual, you nailed the SS. I also like the composition with as you said the large boulders constraining and directing the flow of water. Good call on the foam.
I love the texture and detail in the water. Your SS choice was perfect. And like the others, removing the foam was a good choice also. Its a pleasant and calming photo to look at.
