Critique Style Requested: Standard

The photographer is looking for generalized feedback about the aesthetic and technical qualities of their image.

Description

We have some vibrant and prolific geraniums that are really liking our mild Spring temps.

Specific Feedback

Not a full stack but a blend trying to get the two bud bunches fairly sharp and let the flowers fall off some. Enough DOF on the buds?

Technical Details

Beautiful, Bill. This image just shouts spring and new growth. I really like the color combination and your composition works very well.

Woah so bright! It’s a sight for me since we’re right into frozen mud season. Lovely colors and contrast with a lot of texture. Nice.

Nice shot. Without focus stacking I don’t think you can get better separation and keep the buds in reasonable focus. The oof uppermost bud isn’t a distraction IMO. Details are great. I might take down the saturation at the bg but realizing monitor calibration differences it might be moot. Overall I like it much.
