Buttercup

Buttercup

There was a bit of wind blowing so ss was kept high. Also I really tried to find a flower in the shade.

David, Lovely image. I like the long stalk leading to half open flower. I like part light and part shade, and most of all, seeing the back side of the flower. Nice selective focus.

Love the perspective, David! Looking up at this tiny flower! Nice soft bg colors to compliment the delicate buttercup!

David: The lighting makes this shot for me as well as your comp and DOF management. Exceptionally good shot. >=))>

Thanks @ravi , @Vanessa_Hill , and @Bill_Fach . The comments are always helpful.

I agree that the lighting makes this shot, David, though the angle of the shot is also nice. All the soft colors are pleasing to view. Nicely done.

Thanks for the comments @terryb

Just looking at the flower image I originally thought it was a tulip. The nice lighting has altered the “butter” color that I’m used to seeing. Good position in the frame and great background colors. All the elements came together to make a great image!
