This Egret just left a group of 8 on the One Mile River in Old Lyme Ct. At high tide they gather on the small up razed grass island in the river. The shot was taken on June 15 at 7:11 AM, hand held from my rowboat. Canon 7DII, Sigma 150-600m at F8, 421mm, ISO 400, at 1/4000.

Thank for stopping by.

Very nice wing position, Peter. Iā€™m impressed with how well the neck and head stand out against the far wing. A fine image.

Beautiful Peter, very nicely done.

I also like the wing position. Even with the head and wing merging, you have nice separation. And I love the water flying off the feet. Very nice. My only critique is that there should be more detail to be had here. Did you reduce noise on the bird? It looks pretty smooth.
