Cairns Birdwing

Critique Style Requested: Standard

The photographer is looking for generalized feedback about the aesthetic and technical qualities of their image.

Description

One of the many gorgeous butterflies in Australia. The Birdwings are a large family of butterflies endemic to NE Australia.
We came upon a patch of whatever-flower-this-is, that was full of butterflies, including a number of different birdwings. Other to come!

Sandy …seeing this butterfly for the first time, i initially thought its a leaf …blacks managed very well …

That’s a lovely shot of a beautiful birdwing. I especially like the space for the plant below - it leads the eye up to the beauty.

Wow, what a beauty, Sandy. I don’t think I have ever seen this butterfly before. The colors are dynamic. The square crop works but I was wondering if you had anymore pixels at the top to give it more room to move if you were to go vertical. Just a thought.

Wow! Beautiful butterfly Sandy. Love all those greens and blacks. I think a lot of the birdwings are endangered. Not sure about this one. Nice capture and thank you for sharing.

Sandy: Beautiful butterfly. I think I’ve seen one in the butterfly pavilion in Houston but not sure. On my monitor the greens seem a little blown but certainly not a deal breaker. Nice find and a fine capture. >=))>
