I like to try to capture a topside view of this species to show the hearts on the abdomen and wing patterns. Seen at my neighborhood lake.

Wow, this is great, Allen. I really like that it has hearts on it, just in time for Valentine’s Day! Such great detain all the way through the length and width of this little guy, which shooting from above, I could see how you could have tilted the camera slightly, and not been so parallel with the subject. Well done.

Allen, this is a great view of this dragonfly, with it’s colors showing very well. It looks like it’s a Calico Pennant. The green background really lets the reds shine.
