Sandy, you captured the perfect moment for this grebe. Lighting is really nice…water is dark, showing off the bird’s colors, with great details too. I love visiting NWRs, always see something.

Excellent, Sandy. I always seem to see these in the winter, so I’ve never seen this behavior.

Great behavioral pose Sandy. What a catch. Love the gaping beak and reflection. Details on the bird seem rather soft to me. A fine image though.

I like the color of the wings and water, and the pose you caught him in.
