Image Description

One of the most beautiful cats in my opinion, that mostly only shows itself at night, the caracal.

It is very nicely framed and the eyes look very inquisitive.
The waterhole seems to be lit with some artificial light, which appears to be right behind you, as the catchlights are very central.

Thanks, Jagdeep, and yes, you are right. It is a waterhole with artificial light and in this shot, it is frontal. You can switch to side and back lighting but at the first stage when a rare animal comes in sight, all everybody in my group wants to do, is to have a good, clear shot. When the animal stays long enough, we start playing with the light.
Grt, Ingrid.

Ingrid: a dramatic and powerful image. The absence of environment except for the reflection really draws the eye to the cat. Great!
