The farm, an the 1908 barn, look over the small valley to another more desolate farm in the distance. I’ve photographed this and enjoyed it often in all seasons. I enjoy the fantasy of the two farmers long ago looking across, wondering what the other is up to.

What a picture - reminds me of the Currier & Ives calendars my mom had when I was a kid. I wish the barn had a bit more framing. How does it look on the other side of the road instead of in the middle? Love the falling snow.
Hey John, sorry if that was cryptic. I just wondered if a more centered composition of just the barn is possible. Probably not, in my experience many barns are crowded by outbuildings or some such farming and/or animal wrangling equipment. If it can be done, maybe positioning across the road might work for that. Just a different view.
