A This looks very good with a special emphasis on the iridescence of plumage. Nice detail. Nice pose. Perhaps a tiny bit dark but crackles are that way. I think you did a very good job.

Super catch – wonderful detail, both sharpness and tonally. Very engaging look, nice perch and matching BG. Well done!

This is a gorgeous portrait of a very under-appreciated bird, Allen. I wouldn’t dream of changing anything in this image. For my taste in close portraits this is about as close to perfection as you can get.

What they all said. Beautiful. If you were to print large, I wonder if what appears to be a limb shadow across lower part of the tail would stand out.

Hi Allen, beautiful close up with fine iridescence and an interesting head turn. Nice BG too. Well done.

OK, not to be outdone here, this is just excellent Allen. I love the colorful sheen tot he feathers, and the BG is like smooth creamy butter. Print and hang this one.

Allen, this is a wonderful portrait of the Grackle. Great pose too. That background is killer. Nicely done.
