Balan, the way you managed the lighting helps make him show up nicely in what I am guessing would be a pretty dark area. It also helps him show up nicely. You might could dim the lighting behind him a little maybe. Great find and capture.

Very cool lighting you used on this, Balan. Do you have a really small light source to get under the funnel. All the ones I see are right in the low grass and getting underneath would be difficult with most sources.

This is a really good image Balan. The lighting makes it look like the spider is coming to get whoever disturbed it’s peace and tranquility. I know these have some pretty scary venom and this really looks serious. The light really helps with the details. Nice work.

Dennis ,…many thanks for your comment. The frame in itself is a small area. I used two torch lights , …small with a strong beam… for the lighting

Very evocative, Balan. I guess this tunnel-web spider is quite a bit up from the ground, making it very suitable for the lighting. I hope to try this torch method one day! Ideally I’d like to see a bit more detail/color in the spider’s body, but that might lessen the cinematic effect. You really get the impression you’re “in there” with the spider, which is great.

Very, very cool image - the light around the spider really makes it pop, and the web, ground, stuff in the web all come together to make a quite unusual and striking image.
Very well-done!

All I want to say is that the textures here are amazing. Well done lighting this up, Balan.
