Balan, I love how the colors of the spider are set against the neutral colors of the rest. The seed pods make a very interesting perch too. I might burn the brighter parts of those pods a bit, at least the one in right center. Super shot!
Balan, this is a nice find and interesting light. For me I would like to see the subject’s face better so I am wondering if you could brighten it up just a bit around the eyes and face if that would help. Also, it looks like he has prey, but with it being dark in that area I am not sure. Wondering if brightening that up (if it is prey) would reveal that he has a meal and make the image even more interesting. At the top edge there is a seed pod that is bright and pulls my eye out of the frame, so maybe darkening it down a touch could help. Just a thought. It’s a nice image and I like how the lighting is working on the spider and the seed pods.
@Shirley_Freeman did a masterful job of critiquing this image, Balan, so I’m not going to bother repeating her input. This is a great shot and I think a little more time on the processing could make it superb.
Nice find, and well put together. Besides what was talked about already about lightening up the spider a bit more, I’d add maybe crop or clone out the seed pods on the upper edge. Just a little distracting. And the one on the lower edge, not sure if we need to see more of it or less of it. I think you are onto a really cool image.
Balan: Beautiful spider and a fine capture. My only suggestion is a slightly tighter crop left, top and right and a touch more canvas on the bottom. I love how the color stands out against the BG. Very nice work. >=))>
