Constellation

Critique Style Requested: Standard

The photographer is looking for generalized feedback about the aesthetic and technical qualities of their image.

Description

We have so many interesting succulents that it’s hard to choose which to shoot and post. I liked the arrangement of these little dime sized stars.

Specific Feedback

Made the emphasis of the stack on the individual stars and buds and let the rest fall away. Do you find the difference in the focus on the leaves an issue?

Excellent job on this one, Bill, and I like the depth you chose for your stack with the nicely blurred background leaves. Your title makes me wonder if you could select the background carefully enough to turn it completely black with just the blossoms lit up, making it a real constellation.
