I can see why you took this image Mario. There is a lot of soft, pastel color in this image. I like the cotton candy clouds and the green and magenta flowers on the rocks. It may just be me but it feels a little heavy on the right side because of that large rock outcropping and the lower left corner of the image feels a little bit empty. I feel like a crop might help a little bit but I’m not sure. Here is a square crop and a landscape crop. In the landscape crop I also removed a little bit of the sky just for balance. Again, not sure this works so take this with a grain of sand.
Oh what a great place for a hotel. Reminds me a bit of somewhere I stayed in Oregon, but maybe it was California. Either way…what a sight. I like the crops David has done - it tightens things up and I like the rill of water in the LLC in the square crop. The ocean doesn’t seem too blue to me - it often looks like the sky with its reflection. And who doesn’t love cotton candy clouds?
I like the way that the color in the sky compliments the flowers. To me, this is the story of this image. With that said, I wonder if this would have more impact if you moved in closer to the flowers in a near-far type composition. I know that can be overdone, but in this case I think it would be a compelling option to emphasize the complimentary colors.
