Cranes-go-round

I liked the deceptively circular formation of these birds returning to their roost yesterday afternoon. They are White-naped cranes, and they are especially abundant this year (700 +) at a wetland near us in Korea. Only c5000 remain, so 300 of the grouping shown here and you have the world’s population. There were a few individuals of 3 other Crane species with the White-napes, including 2 Sandhill cranes, very rare vagrants here.
