Description

South Africa lionness at dawn

Specific Feedback

This was very odd early-morning side-lighting. I wanted to catch the lioness’s hot breath in the cold air, but had no idea what to do with the rest of this. Open to all ideas!

I have Bad News and Good News for you Sandy. First the Bad News. I have nothing to offer for improvements. Now the Good News, I don’t think it needs any improvements. I love the misty gold breath, the beautiful pink open mouth, the wonderful muted color palette, the rim of light on her and the grasses, and that nice little weed boquet is great. The BG trees are muted and blurred enough to support and not take away from the overall image IMHO. Nice portrait of a princess.

Sandy: this is a unique image of a lioness. The lighting is so very different from what we usually see and that difference is what makes the image so appealling. My vote is to leave it as is.

A stunning image, beautifully captured :heavy_heart_exclamation:
I my darken the foreground grasses.

Cheers !
