Thanks @Damon_Gubler and @richardleekaylin for your comments. Richard, I’ll take a look at the suggestions you made and see what I come up with. I rather like that house on the hill but it certainly does draw the eye. I get it. This is a great area to shoot and it’s the first time I’ve been here for fall colors. I was not disappointed at all.
Damon, Glad that you signed up here at NPN. It was really great meeting you that evening. The light was just perfect. Gotta love blue hour. Did you get some great images that night? Post a couple if you did. The community will make suggestions, recommendations and in general, give you enough information to make all of your posted images better and in turn, make you a better photographer. Great shot, David. beautiful scene and well composed on your part. I like John’s stretch treatment too. Great visual contrast with the lush colors against the more stark mountainside. That gnarled tree is the cherry on top!
