This little lady hatched this morning in our butterfly enclosure and we promptly put her on the lantana to nectar once her wings had filled out. Had a nice sunny day with mild temperatures and after about two or three hours she happily flew away but not before posing for a few coming out shots. All comments welcome. >=))>

Beautiful butterfly and you caught it nice and sharp. Personally I would have framed it a bit less tight, this is assuming the background was nice and uncluttered.
Grt, Ingrid.

A real beauty, Bill. Wonderful details and color, with a nice out of focus background. I agree with Ingrid, that I might would give this little lady a bit more room. I wish we had butterflies up here, but it will be awhile. Great shot of this one, and gives me something to look forward to in a few months.

She’s a beauty, Bill. How nice to have fresh Monarchs and flowers in mid-January, but I do enjoy “my” ice. :grinning:
