South Louisiana where I started photography, and still my favorite place to shoot. The summers are great for these slick calm conditions, bringing the reflections to life. Which pano do you prefer?

Thanks for posting, we don’t get to see panos in here often. I prefer the greener water in number 2. I really like looking at the detail in parts of both of them. Thanks for posting.
Cool. I like them. I don’t believe that I’ve every seen a panorama of cypress trees. I prefer 2 as well although I would crop out the leftmost tree which is half in and half out of the picture.
The panoramic format works well here. I like the spacing of the cypress trees which gives a nice rhythm to the composition. The spanish moss adds interest as well. Your processing looks good to my eye.
I love the colour, detail and composition of number two in particular. It draws one in effectively and you can lose yourself in the foliage details. Nicely emotive.
Hermann, I think they both work well. I like the first for the large clusters of cypress knees, and the water is a bit calmer. But if I had to choose, I tend to prefer the second, mainly because you have lots more of the lush green, and the Spanish moss seems more evenly distributed. Cypress swamps are among my favorite places, where I’ve spent lots of shooting time over the years.
Thank you everyone for the feedback. Originally i liked the top one more because I thought it relayed the height of the trees better, but I think I am now more drawn to the bottom for the more uniform tree spacing and denser background. @Igor_Doncov good point about the tree on the left border.
Two beautiful images, Hermann. As usual, I find myself stumbling down a different road than the others here (LOL). I definitely prefer the 1st image more. I love the chocolate brown water, the pink in the knees, and the beautiful gray trunks. I wish it had more moss in it, but what’s there looks great. #2 seems to be somewhat overpowering to me whereas #1 immediately puts me at ease and in a more relaxed state of mind.
These are both excellent. I’m with most others in that I much prefer the 2nd image. To your point above, I think, the moment one chooses a panoramic format like this, that height is no longer an important element… And I think the pano choice for these cypress is a refreshing take on the cypress and swamp. The addition of the patterns in the water make the 2nd version that much more appealing.
