Defying December

On my way out the door this morning I spotted this bunch of roses blooming like crazy. It was windy and cloudy so it was a challenge to get a sharp capture. On this one frame a hardy bee crashed the party. I ended up cropping this about 40% and decided to make lemonade from the motion blur with an oil paint filter. I like how this turned out. Very good lemonade it is, Bill. Beautiful colors and the textures created by the oil paint filter are perfect.

Nice! Glad you’re getting into PA - it’s a very creative outlet, in addition to photography in general.
Really like the colour combinations here, the comp, bee, and treatment.

Very nice use of the oil paint filter Bill. I agree with Sandy- Photo Art is really fun! It is also well suited to floral images.
