Desert Dusk

Took a long weekend in Scottsdale to visit one of our sons and his family. I just upgraded to an I Phone 13 Pro Max and decided to leave my regular gear at home and just play with the phone. I was pretty impressed with its capabilities. This evening scene was just outside his house. All comments welcome. >=))>

Very impressive, Bill. Looks like the iPhone 13 has lots of up grades my old iPhone 8 doesn’t have. Does it let you manipulate settings like ISO and aperture? Enjoy your break and have fun shooting with the phone.

I love the addition of that moon, Bill. I have been fiddling with my phone lately, too. I think I may look into some that’s worth posting here.

Beautiful scene. How big do you think you could print well with the file from the phone? That seems to be the biggest limitation with phone photography.

Bill, this image is wonderful in it’s simplicity. I find myself enjoying looking back and forth between the palm and the crescent moon. There’s no dreaded “it’s two subjects” problem here, the composition clearly wants the view to look back and forth.

Harley: The file size is about 12mp and it allows me to shoot RAW. There is imperceptible noise so a reasonable 16x20 seems doable.

Those specs are far more impressive than I expected from a phone and RAW to boot. Nice.

This is a wonderful scene Bill. I like the simplicity of the image with just the palm tree and the crescent moon. The color gradation in the sky is also another nice touch. No suggestions from me. Have fun on your trip.

Elegant, with a wonderful sky gradient!

Bill, To me great in it’s simplicity and composition !!
