This image has been languishing on the HD and not seen the light of day for many years. I chanced upon it the other day and I thought it would be perfect for this week’s WC. I have no idea what caused the distortion in the reflection, but hopefully someone has an idea. This scene was captured while hiking the trail along Kitchen Creek in Ricketts Glen SP in PA. I found the wavy lines to be very intriguing and worth a photo.

Just wondering how this works for everyone. Is the ULC still to bright? Anything else you notice please feel free to mention it.

Ed: A worthy subject indeed and nicely composed and captured. Hard to say what it is and the scale which is a good thing. Well seen and presented. >=))>
Ed, this is a fine reflection/refraction abstract. Personaly, I like abstracts to be reasonable similar in brightness and contrast through out the frame. Thus, I’d dodge the lights in the middle and bottom to match those in the upper left. I’d do some darks burning, especially in the upper left and maybe along the bottom, but that’s all artistic choice.
Many thanks @Bill_Fach and @Mark_Seaver for your thoughts on this image; always appreciated. @Mark_Seaver : Here is a rework incorporating your suggestions. I like the end result.
