Critique Style Requested: Standard

The photographer is looking for generalized feedback about the aesthetic and technical qualities of their image.

Description

Another from Bow Lake. I rarely shoot reflections with the frame split symmetrically but I felt this was one of those scenes where I would go 50-50.

Specific Feedback

Do 50-50 reflection comps work for you? Shift the perspective here or leave it as is?

Bill, I think this emphasizes the erosion forms (and their reflections) well. I’m also thinking that cropping a bit tighter would make a more abstract view as an alternative.

Hi Bill, Lovely image! Perhaps a trim top and bottom to remove the little bits of sky and it’s reflection … I’m less bothered by the symmetry, I think that enhances the abstract quality.
