On a windy day I tried to get this flower tack sharp using a tripod , wire release etc. and waiting a very long time for the wind to soften. Since no success I changed my mind and stopped fighting the wind! With the same set-up I increased the shutter speed to 2 sec to get tis picture: The flower moves from left to right, and at the same time rotates.
When you have lemons, make lemonade is a good way to think when out taking photos. Nicely results, Ola. love the colors and shapes with the motion blur. I don’t always think like this, and just give up without trying something else, but I think you came away with good results.
I really admire your spirit of adventure Ola. Good for you. Nice photo. I like the soft colors and soft movement. I do wonder if a slice of crop off the bottom making a more pano look would add something to sense of motion and movement. Well done.
Ola: What a great way to make the conditions work for you instead of against you. For me this is just the right amount of motion to retain some structure but not too much. Really well done. >=))>
Ola, this works very well in telling the story of a good looking flower in the wind. Having the flower’s shape show clearly in multiple spots adds a lot of interest.
