Beth this image is exquisite. I love your use of depth of field to create the invitation to move from front to the very back trees. And there’s something so (this is the exquisite part) delicate and soft, without a sense of blurriness, about the color palette - it just sends me. How did you get the blue tint in the back trees with the front trees being warm-ish?

So subtle and effective in conveying a calming mood and a sense of change. Fantastic depth and colors. Brave choice lowering the contrast so much, but I think it works quite well - harsh contrast would change the mood quite a bit. If you had a mind, you could eliminate the bush on the far left - it’s amazing what Photoshop can do these days. A sublime image expertly executed.

Connie, it could’ve been the quality of light? This was at sunrise when the trees in the background were in shadow and probably getting cool reflected light from the canyon while the foreground trees were getting warm reflected light from sunrise?
