I have been doing a bit more flora images of late. Currently, the Denver Botanic Gardens have their orchids on display; a friend of mine and I made a trip to see and photography what is on display. It’s a banner year!

Gary: Spectacular blooms and a superb capture. I like your arrangement in the frame and your DOF management with the stack. For me the unopened bud is icing on a very fine cake. Looking forward to more of your work here. >=))>

Nice choice on where to end the stack, Gary. I like having some softness in the rear for images like this. I could see a touch more room top and bottom if it doesn’t get ugly in those directions.

Gary, this is a lovely orchid image. Very nice detail and colours. Personally, I’d allow more room on the bottom and right, and I’d clean up those 2 lower right stems and all the spots and specks on this beauty.
