Pertinent technical details or techniques:
Canon 5DM3, 600mm, ISO 400, f/8, 1/1000. I captured a dozen shots of this sub-adult Bald Eagle in Yellowstone last week. I always question whether it is best to show the regal pose or one of natural behavior, such as this.

Might as well photograph both, Kathy-electrons are cheap! I like this pose and the setting a lot. You don’t mention a crop, but if you have the detail, you might consider cropping this a bit tighter. I suggest it mainly to minimize the more out of focus foreground rocks at the bottom, but also to make the eagle a little larger in the frame. Well exposed and the detail looks very good.
Kathy, I like this a lot. Especially the habitat. Everything seems to come together very nicely with the colors, tonality, and the subject. The crop works for me.
Exceptional behavioral and environmental image. Good job on the exposure and depth of field. I do think Dennis is correct in that cropping a little would put more emphasis on the bird.
I like this Kathy, he looks like quite a character with that pose. Maybe a crop from the left and the bottom.
Thank you @Dennis_Plank, @Adhika_Lie, @David_Schoenn and @Nate_Chappell for your comments. Based on the feedback I will definitely try cropping a bit more!
