About This Image

Our resident eastern bluebirds are on brood #2 in the backyard nest box. I have been attempting flight shots as they bring in goodies to the chicks.

These are spectacular!! Wonderful details and colors, and perfect lighting! Light clouds??

Next year I’m moving our couple’s nest box to a better location.

Thanks Diane…yes, sun shining through light clouds the last two mornings here.

I’d call these complete successes, Allen, rather than attempts. All of these are excellent. If I had to pick a favorite, I think it would be the third due to the excellent head turn and the beautiful flight pose. Ours fledged while we were gone and the box they chose didn’t have the greatest angles for flight shots. They often change boxes for the second brood here, so maybe they’ll pick a better one.

Holy cow! If my “attempts” looked like this, I would be over the moon. Each one is a winner.

I love the different bugs on the menu.

Perfect poses, background and sharpness.

Wonderful work!
