About This Image

Our bluebirds are feeding brood #3. I’ve been trying for more flight shots of them bringing in meals to the chicks.

Feedback Requested

Overall thoughts on wing and body position and sharpness. I’m not autofocusing on the birds rather I pre-focus on the nest box hole and shoot when they fly towards the box.

Awesome – all!! Sharpness, detail, poses, lighting and BG are excellent!

I’ve tried the prefocus trick and had very bad luck with it! But the birdhouse was in bad light – I’ll try to get them to use a house in better light next year. I cleaned that one out right after I took this one down but so far I haven’t seen them show any interest in it. I don’t think I’ve seen a third brood here – maybe they ate all the bugs?

Thank you for the comment and the reaction! Think I’m about done with bluebirds for this year. I doubt they will do four broods but it is not unheard of.

I did get this shot this morning to close things out…

I can’t say enough here because I’m out of printable expletives! But I’ll make an inadequate attempt with WOW!! In addition to the remarkable subject, what adds a special touch here is the BG with the lovely tones and unusual horizontal lines. I can’t wait for next year!!

Hi Allen

When I tell people I meet, the Nature Photographers Network has great photographers; these photographs are what I am talking about.
