Eastern Pondhawk on Coneflower

I rarely see dragonflies perch on flowers but one morning at Reelfoot Lake last month they were using the purple coneflowers in the garden where I was staying.

Wow, all three are very nice, Allen, but the first one is the best. Congrats!

Allen, they all three images are very good. I think I like the third one the best, where I can see his face more, and I love the oof coneflowers in the BG. We have these cone flowers in our garden, and we have this same kind of dragonfly, so I will keep a look out for one to perch on them. Nice details.

Love them all, Allen. Iā€™d print them all and hang them as a series. Very nicely seen and captured.
