Fall Colors along the Suwannee

Thanks for the comments on my last. As a follow-up to your previous comments here’s a horizontal, around the same area of Billy’s Lake near the headwaters of the Suwannee. Okefenokee NWR is a great place to explore by small boat. Shot late November 2008, hand held from boat. Slight boost in sat, contrast and levels.

This looks very peaceful and inviting, Bill, with a nice mix of colors in the trees and the big sweeping curve of the shoreline.

Bill,

Indeed a very peaceful and tranquil scene. The still of the reflection is striking. In fact, I’m wondering how you got away with no ripples from your boat? Seems like it would have been a sin to disturb the stillness of the water.

Very nice also, Bill. My comments are that the subtle changes in the sky texture in this image make it different (still nice). But the softer wispier layers of the sky in the first post provide a slightly more elegant and peaceful image, What an amazing quiet and still lake. Shot in 08 or 18?

Very tranquil and peaceful scene. Great reflection!
