Fall Shower

I was looking for some fall color last fall when a misty rain began to fall.

Jim, this doesn’t look like “misty rain” to me… :grinning: The scene and all the rain look good and nicely dramatic. Your crop is an improvement as it emphasizes the golds in the distance while keeping the depth, although I might leave in the tree on the left (maybe 4x5 or even 8.5 x 11 to get to the big tree on the right).

Mark, Thanks for the comments. I like your idea of leaving in the tree on the left. It makes a better balance.

I like that you captured the falling rain. I would like to do this sometime when it interrupts my plan. I also like the crop. It helped me to find a point of focus more as I honed in on the color and the smaller round tree. This is an enjoyable interpretation of the scene to me.

Hi Jim. I also prefer the crop as it keeps my eye within the frame and stops it wandering off to the URC. It can be hard to get both the rain and the background in a shot like this but you’ve done it very well. Great shot!

Karla and John, Thank you for your comments.
