Description
During the winter months I don’t have to travel far for the chance to see a ferruginous hawk nearby. Here’s a pose I got of one taking off and showing it magnificent feathers. They are about my favorite hawk.

Cropping? Anything?

Very nice flight pose, Dave. The underside markings are very well displayed here. I think you might be able to get a bit more pop out of this with a curves adjustment just raising the middle of the curve a bit.
Superb wing position and head turn on this FH Dave. I love the upturned tips of the wing feathers and a great look at the talons. Terrific light all around. I would love some more room all the way around as this feels very tight to me particularly on the bottom and the right side. Did you run this through LR or PS enhance to remove noise? The bird looks a little bit waxy which I have found enhance does to a lot of subjects if you apply too much? Just curious. Otherwise, this is a great image of one of my favorite hawks. Thanks for sharing this one Dave.
Sweet Flight shot, Dave!
Great position, expanded wings, and eye.
Enlarged here, the whole image seems very “waxy” , as Dave says. Possibly too much NR, or the “Enhance” failed, or?
All detail is lost, I’m afraid.
Would love to see a re-do!
