Fire

I shot this as a part of our local state Park’s seasonal burn off. I shot it more to see if I could get an accurate rendition of flames.

I cannot comment on whether the flames are rendered accurately but I really like the contrast between the green leaves and the flames. The idea of having fire and green leaves in a single frame is thought provoking. The heat blur is also amazing. It gives a painterly effect to the image. I only wish the leaves on the lower left corner are in focus.

It was sooooooooooo hot, even at about 50 feet away, I premade my exposure calculations, got as close as I could to get a decent framing, made the shot and left, quite toasty, I might add.
