Description

I caught this osprey inflight. Such a fine looking raptor.

Specific Feedback

Is the tight cropping acceptable to you? I enjoy looking at the details of the subject that being close in allows.

To me, the crop depends on the final use, Dave. This would make a fine field guide image. For hanging on the wall, I personally prefer a bit more room. That said, if everything else is sky, it doesn’t matter that much.

Hi Dave, a nice catch of this in flight pose. Love the open beak and the details in the shadows turned out well. On the crop, I’d add more on the left and bottom (as the bird is looking downward). That’s just giving the bird room to move into and doesn’t have to be extreme.
